How much do you know about building lighting LED wall washers?

LED wall washers, also known as linear LED floodlights, are mainly used for architectural decorative lighting or to outline the contours of large buildings. Its technical parameters are generally similar to LED floodlights, and the heat dissipation device of the strip structure of LED wall washers is easier to handle than round LED floodlights.

(1) Voltage. The voltage of LED wall washer is AC 220V, AC 110V, DC 36V, DC 24V, DC 12V, and the corresponding input voltage should be paid attention to when selecting LED wall washer.

(2) Working temperature. Wall washers are usually used outdoors, and the temperature requirements are relatively high, and generally require to work in the range of -40~+60C. However, the wall washer shell is made of aluminum with good heat dissipation, which can meet the working temperature requirements.

(3) Number of LED lamp beads. The number of LEDs for general-purpose wall washers on the market is 9/300mm, 18/600mm, 27/900mm, 36/1000mm, 36/1200mm. The power is 3W, 6W, 9W, 12W, 15W, 18W, 24W, 27W, 30W, 36W, etc.

(4) Protection level. The protection level is an important parameter for all outdoor lamps, which is equally important for wall washers and an important indicator that affects the quality of current wall washers. When used outdoors, the protection level is required to be above IP65. At the same time, there are also requirements for pressure resistance, chip resistance, high and low temperature resistance, flame resistance, and impact aging resistance.

(5) Control mode. There are two main control methods for LED wall washers: internal control and external control. Internal control is not to use an external controller, the designer designs the control system in the wall washer, and its effect cannot be changed. The external control is the external controller, and its effect can be controlled by adjusting the parameters of the main controller. (6) Color specifications. 2-segment, 4-segment, 6-segment, 8-segment full-color color, colorful color. Monochrome ones are red, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, etc.

(7) Luminous angle. Its luminous angle is generally narrow (about 2°), medium (about 50°), wide (about 120°) species. At present, the farthest effective projection distance of high-power LED wall washers (angles) is 20~50m.
